About Swala
Swala is a 42 foot Venezia catamaran designed to give guests a comfortable and spacious San Blas sailing experience. The layout includes a bright interior salon, large outdoor areas for relaxing in the sun, and three double cabins with two bathrooms, creating a smooth balance between comfort and adventure. The catamaran moves gently through the islands and gives you plenty of space to stretch out, read, enjoy the breeze or settle into a quiet moment while anchored near the shoreline. With kayaks, paddleboards, snorkeling gear and fishing equipment on board, Swala gives you many options each day, whether you want to explore, swim or simply enjoy the scenery.
The crew brings a special local and international mix to the experience. Cristóbal, born in the Guna community of Mamutupu, grew up in these islands and knows the region not only through navigation but through culture, family and daily life. His understanding of the sea, the winds and the communities you may visit creates a genuine and respectful connection to Guna Yala. Chef Lucía adds her own warmth to the trip with fresh meals inspired by her background and her love for cooking at sea. Her dishes combine simple ingredients with international flavors and she is experienced in preparing vegetarian, gluten free and seafood focused meals. Together, they create a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel cared for from the moment they arrive.
Swala works well for private groups, shared trips, families and couples who want a complete and comfortable way to experience sailing San Blas. The catamaran offers easy access to the water, shaded and open deck areas, and plenty of room for guests to relax between island visits. Whether you want quiet evenings on deck, days filled with snorkeling and paddleboarding, or the chance to learn more about Guna culture through a captain who grew up in the islands, Swala provides a calm and enjoyable setting for exploring this part of Guna Yala.
